The first step is to choose an air handler that matches your home’s heating and cooling system. Ideally, if a new air handler is needed, you will have it installed at the same time as a new furnace or heat pump. This will allow you to match it to the brand and size of the system you purchase.
However, if that is not the case, we can help find the right air handler to fit your specific needs. The right air handler will match the capacity of your ductwork and the heated square footage of your home without going over that capacity. It will also be efficient at transferring heat between the furnace or heat pump and into the ductwork and should include a filtration system that matches your home’s indoor air quality needs.

Like any component of your home’s HVAC system, your air handler needs regular maintenance to work efficiently. We offer both on–call tune ups and annual maintenance plans as part of your HVAC agreement. During these Baton Rouge and New Orleans, LA air handler maintenance visits, we check all moving parts including the blower fan and motor, all belts, and electrical connections that control air flow. We check and replace any necessary filters and make recommendations for further maintenance you can perform between visits.
